Dovid Pittenger Bar Mitzvah Celebration Kiddush

This Shabbat, Parshat Nitzavim, 28 Elul, September 24, 2022, is the Shabbat when we read the 8th portion of the Book of Devarim. This portion, begins with G-d's covenant with the Jewish people just before their entry into the promised land, the Land of Israel. This covenant was to ensure the loyalty to G-d of all the Jewish people even in generation to come, and G-d's eternal loyalty to the Jewish people.

This Shabbat is the last Shabbat of the year 5782. This Shabbat elevates all the Shabbats of the previous year. This Shabbat is also just before Rosh Hashanah. On this Shabbat G-d blesses the entire coming year with life, health, prosperity along with goodness and sweetness.

A great post Bar Mitzvah Kiddush luncheon will be held after the service, in honor of the Bar Mitzvah of Dovid Malachi Pittinger. Dovid  and family celebrated his Bar Mitzvah a few weeks ago in their new hometown, Jerusalem. They are visiting Charlotte for the week and are pleased to share the joy with our community. The Kiddush is being sponsored by Dovid's parents, Reuven and Me'irah Pittenger.

We express our best wishes to Dovid and the Pittinger family of Mazel Tov, with blessings for much success in their new home in Israel.

The Kiddush celebration at OHT strengthens the camaraderie in our Shul, which comes to life during the Kiddush and brings vitality and energy to our Shul family.

Candle lighting this Friday is at 7:00 pm.

Reminder! Time for Mincha this Friday will be at 7:00 p.m.
