We are excited to offer a safe, fun, and enriching experience for your children during Shabbat and holiday services at Chabad of Charlotte! Please review our program details and parental responsibilities before signing up.
Program Details:
Location: The program takes place in the Beco Room (across from the main sanctuary).
Time: 11:00 - 12:30 pm
Please note: The program is intended to provide a fun and educational way for children to participate in the Shabbat services until they're old enough to join their parents in the sanctuary. Parents must stay in the building while their kids are in the program.
Schedule:
Educational Activities (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM): Activities include Tefila (prayer), learning about the weekly Torah portion, exciting stories, interactive games, and an opportunity to kiss the Torah in the sanctuary.
Incentives:Children have the opportunity to connect with Judaism in a meaningful way during Junior Congregation, where they learn about the weekly Torah portion through engaging stories, songs, and age-appropriate discussions. It’s a space where young minds can explore their heritage and feel a sense of belonging in a fun and welcoming environment.
Program end Time:
Please pick up your child/ren from their respective locations by 12:30 PM at the end of Davening. Children should assist with clean-up and will not be allowed to play unsupervised afterward.
Parental Responsibilities:
Sign Up: Please complete the sign-up form below to enroll your child. If you’ve signed up before, you don’t need to sign up again unless there are new children or special notes (like allergies) to share. Entering your phone number will add you to our broadcast list for important updates before Shabbat.
Supervision Policy: Children cannot roam freely in the building. They must be either with their parents or in our supervised program.
Program beginning and ending: The program begins at 11:00 AM, and continues while parents are in the sanctuary, concluding by the Kiddush at 12:30 PM. If you arrive early with your child/ren or stay for the Kiddush, supervision of your child/ren is your responsibility.
Communication: Stay informed with our email notification system for any important updates. Please let us know if you’re bringing extra kids from out of town so we can plan accordingly.
We are dedicated to creating a positive and engaging environment for your children. Thank you for trusting us with their care and participation in our Shabbat and holiday kids program. We look forward to welcoming them!
